By Car:

The park is situated on the A6108, 5 miles north of Ripon and 4 miles south of Masham between the villages of North Stainley and West Tanfield.
The entrance to the park is clearly signed onto a private driveway leading down into the park. The park's postcode is HG4 3HQ, but regularly guests relying on sat nav systems are lead astray, as many have not yet been updated to reflect the upgrading of the A1 to A1M. It would be wise to note/ print off the following directions, particularly if this is your first visit:

Travelling from the South on the A1:

- Exit at Junction 50 (signed Ripon and Thirsk A61)

- Roundabout - Second exit (signed Masham A6055)

- Run parallel to the A1 for 3.3 miles.

- Roundabout First exit (signed Masham and Kirklington B6267)

- Continue on B6267 for 3.2 miles, turning left at junction (signed West Tanfield.) There will also be a brown tourist sign for the campsite.

- After approx. 1 mile, turn right at the next small roundabout towards West Tanfield Village. There will also be a brown tourist sign for the campsite.

- Go through the village turning left at the small roundabout in the centre (signed A6108 North Stainley and Ripon)

- Passing the Bull Inn, go over the bridge.

- The park entrance is situated on the left approximately half a mile up the hill from the bridge.

Travelling from the North on the A1:

- Exit at Junction 51, signed Northallerton and A6055.

- Turn right at the roundabout at the bottom of the slip road, passing under the A1M.

- Roundabout - Turn left (South) on to the A6055 which runs parallel to the A1, travelling for approx. 7 miles in this direction, crossing several small roundabouts.

- At the third small roundabout on the A6055 turn right (signed Masham and Kirklington B6267)

- Continue on B6267 for 3.2 miles, turning left at junction (signed West Tanfield.) There will also be a brown tourist sign for the campsite.

- After approx. 1 mile, turn right at the next small roundabout towards West Tanfield Village. There will also be a brown tourist sign for the campsite.

- Go through the village turning left at the small roundabout in the centre (signed A6108 North Stainley and Ripon)

- Passing the Bull Inn, go over the bridge.

Travelling from the North on the A19:

- Travel south on the A19 until it splits with the A168. (Take the A168)

- At the interchange with the A1, exit the A168 and turn right at the roundabout at the top of the slip road, crossing over the bridge.

- At the next roundabout turn left, signed Sharow and Ripon

- Passing under the A1 bridge, immediately turn right (signposted A1 north)

- Exit at the next junction, Junction 50 of the A1 (signed Ripon and Thirsk A61)

- Roundabout - Second exit (signed Masham A6055)

- Run parallel to the A1 for 3.3 miles.

- Roundabout First exit (signed Masham and Kirklington B6267)

- Continue on B6267 for 3.2 miles, turning left at junction (signed West Tanfield.) There will also be a brown tourist sign for the campsite.

- After approx. 1 mile, turn right at the next small roundabout towards West Tanfield Village. There will also be a brown tourist sign for the campsite.

- Go through the village turning left at the small roundabout in the centre (signed A6108 North Stainley and Ripon)

- Passing the Bull Inn, go over the bridge.

- The park entrance is situated on the left approximately half a mile up the hill from the bridge.

Travelling through/ from Ripon

- Passing through Ripon market square (Fishergate), continue North onto North Street.

- Turn left at the Clock Tower (a monument in the middle of the road) onto the A6108 signed Masham

- Continue along the A6108 for approx. 3.5 miles to North Stainley Village.

- The park is less than a mile on the right after North Stainley village on the A6108.

Travelling by train

The nearest railways stations are at Harrogate (16 miles), Northallerton (19 miles) and Thirsk (16 miles). There is a regular bus service (No.36 operated by Harrogate & District - 01423 566061) between Leeds and Ripon via Harrogate and a bus service from Northallerton to Ripon via Thirsk (Nos. 70 & 170 operated by Proctors Coaches - 01677 425203).

Travelling by bus

There is a rural bus service from Ripon to Richmond (No.159) which stops at North Stainley and West Tanfield. Further details of the 159 service can be found by contacting Dales & District on 01677 422371.
